Effectively, the relamping process can be broken down into five key stages:
1) PLS receives and evaluates the customer's spent lamp assembly.
2) The lamp is disassembled by PLS manufacturing.
3) The spent burner is replaced by a trained technician. At this time additional components are replaced or repaired as necessary and waste is recycled.
PLS also has the capabilities to replace reflectors and repair lamp cages.
4) The burner is aligned by a PLS engineer according to specifications.
5) The reassembled lamp is tested for functionality. If the unit fails, it is sent back to manufacturing for further evaluation. However, if the test is successful, the lamp is returned to the customer, ready for use.
