Is ReLamping Safe?
There has been concern expressed in the industry regarding the safety of re-lamped or refurbished projector lamps. While PLS acknowledges these concerns, we believe that our experience, knowledge and expertise limit or eliminate the risks. PLS began as a department within a company that manufactured projector lamps. We know all of the intricacies involved with and necessary precautions we must take when building and re-building lamps. Ensuring safety is our priority; not only does our facility utilize the proper safety techniques required for relamping, but our lamps are equally as safe to use in your projector. All components are thoroughly inspected and replaced as necessary. All PLS relamped projector lamps undergo extensive quality testing both during and after the relamping procedure. Yes, these lamps contain mercury. That!|s why PLS RECYCLES the mercury containing burner, rather than just disposing of it "properly",as is the practice of some other companies.

So is ReLamping Safe? PLS RELAMPS ARE SAFE AND RELIABLE- but we don't make any claims for relamped projector lamps from the other guys.
